Baseball or is it football???!

So Braxton started baseball last week. It has been so fun to watch him play on a team. He is really pretty good on his own but then when he gets with all the kids, he is too busy watching them to play. So we have had to try to talk him into aiming at their heads when he bats (he gets nervous, since we have always taught him to make sure no one was in his way when he hits.) They all get to bat once an "inning", and they get to run the bases. Since there are no outs, it always ends in a tie. When they play outfield it looks a little more like football than baseball. Because three and four year olds have to do everything themselves they all think they need to get the ball. It doesn't matter where it lands on the field they all go running for it and then pile on each other as they try to wrestle it away from who ever got it. Once they get the ball they are supposed to throw it to first. But they always just seem to jump up and down with the ball high in the air as if they are the winner. It's really hilarious. I love watching them play. I'm just waiting for Braxton to get over the fact that there are so many other kids there and play as he does at home with us as a family. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Cal-i-for-ni-A

So we went to Cali this last week. It was so much fun. We went with our best friends- Brittney, Brent, and Oaklee. We all drove down together in a mini-van. It was a little squishy with the eight of us but we all fit. We left on Saturday (4-11) at 4:00 am!! It was really early but really worth it. We got there around 4:30-5:00 pm Cali time, so we still had lots of time left to do things. On Sunday, for Easter, we went to the beach at the La Jolla shores. It was really fun. The kids did an Easter egg hunt and the grown-ups played in the waves. When we got back from the beach our hotel didn't have water!! Imagine 8 people covered in sand and no water, so we did what we had to do and went to the pool. It turned out that the building we were in had no water pressure so they gave us a different room which was much much bigger and nicer for the same price! It made it all worth it. We all got sunburned except Braxton and Peyton. So it was a painful start to an eventful week. That night to keep with the spirit of the Sabbath we went to the San Diego Temple. It is really beautiful. We had a lot of fun taking pictures and feeling the spirit. It's amazing how you can still feel the spirit of the Temple when you are right next to a freeway with cars speeding at 70 mph right next to you!
On Monday, we went to the San Diego Zoo. It was really cool. They have so many animals and the kids loved seeing some of them up close. I wasn't as impressed, with all the hype about it, but it was one of my favorite zoo's.
On Tuesday, we checked out of our hotel in San Diego. We then went to Sea World. It was so exciting to finally see Shamu up close in real life. I have never been to Sea World and I looked like a kid in a candy shop. I almost cried when we watched the Shamu show. It was so awesome! It was a cold day- at least to me. It was overcast and sprinkled a few times but it was still like 65 degrees but with the wind it felt colder. It was still a blast. One of the guys that worked there stopped and asked us where we were from and when we told him Utah he said "Provo or Salt Lake?" As if there are only two cities in Utah. We told him Salt Lake and then he asked Ryan if he was related to Donny Osmond. It was really funny and I'm not sure he will ever live down the name. Afterwards, we checked into our hotel in Anaheim.
On Wednesday, we went to Universal Studios in L.A. I do hate traffic in L.A. It was completely different than I had imagined it. Some of my favorite rides were there. I loved the Water World show and the Simpons ride was really amazing (even though it made me feel sick!). One of my favorites was the Jurassic Park ride. We got to meet a lot of characters. Such as: Curious George, Dora and Diego, Spongebob, Shrek and Fiona, Beetle Juice, etc. The kids really loved meeting some of their favorites. On the way back we got stuck in traffic after a terrible accident. I've never seen anyone get out of their car and lean against the hood for a smoke break before. I thought that only happened in movies.
On Thursday, we went to Disneyland. The anticipation was finally over for all of us. I have been to Disneyland before but didn't really remember much. I am so glad that they started doing the fast passes. It made it so we could do everything we really wanted to do in one day. I learned that Ryan is a Disneyland Nazi. He had a plan in his head and if we get behind schedule he gets a little uptight, but it was worth it since we were able to do everything! I absolutely loved Disneyland and want to go back soon.
On Friday, we went to California Adventure. It was really cool. We loved the Pixar parade. Braxton and my favorite ride was the "Mr. Potato Head" Toy Story ride. I absolutely loved it. After it closed at like 9:00 we went back over to Disneyland for some late night rides.
On Saturday, we did Disneyland and California Adventure. We just did the rides that we wanted to do again. We also did a lot of shopping and oddly some of the people that worked there seemed annoyed that we were buying so much!! We had decided to get some of Braxton and Oaklee's birthday presents there, so we did end up with a lot.
On Sunday, we just checked out and drove home. We didn't get home until 1:00 and we still had to unload the van.
It was so so much fun and I am so grateful to have friends that were willing to put up with my kids for so long. We couldn't have done it without them. Well if you made it this far...thanks for reading my novel!

Beware!! Not for the weak stomachs!

We had a very fun weekend. I love Conference weekend. We get good food and we get to hang out with the family. On Saturday during Priesthood session the girls all got together and we just talked and enjoyed each other. Afterwards, we had Ryan's sister Brittney and her family (Brent, and little Oaklee) sleep over so they wouldn't have to drive back home just to drive back in the morning for conference. It was a lot of fun to have them spend the night. We played games on the xbox and just had fun. The kids even slept!! They went to bed late but they did sleep all night. Which with their best friend over is kind of hard for them. That night due to Peytons double ear infections and the amoxacillin she has to take, she decided to clean out her bowels. No one knew what had happened and she started crying and Brent being the helpful Uncle went to pick her up to soothe her and comfort her. He was not prepared for the new layer of poop he was about to wear. It was quite hilarious. Poor Brent covered in feces. Brittney was MORE than excited to take some pictures which are posted at the bottom so don't go all the way down if you have a week stomach. It was one of the worst poops I have ever had to deal with. I'm used to Chloe painting with it but I wasn't even sure where to start with Peyton.
Anyways, on Sunday we all got together and had a good time listening to the Prophet and Apostles. In between sessions everyone went outside for some fresh air (except Melissa and I) They had a lot of fun out there. It was so nice to just let them go out and play. Everyone had a lot of fun. Scott jumped off the shed at one point. I don't enjoy heights so I probably wouldn't even get up on the shed, needless to say I am pretty impressed with that. Hope you enjoy some picts. There's a few of them.
Braxton playing baseball. (What's new?)

Brent jumping the trash can.
One of my favorite.

Peyton and I hanging out on the inside.
Oaklee jumping off the trash can.
The kids and Ryan and Brittney made Mr. Potato heads during the morning session of conference on Sunday. Some of their creations were pretty funny.
Chloe just kept wearing Mr. Potato heads glasses. It was funny.

Get ready for the POOP. Look away if you don't like the look of mustard coming out of my infants bottom.Aren't you glad you weren't the mom??
