We have been so busy. It's sad that our last post was before Christmas. So to update you, we had a wonderful Christmas. We tried something new this year and I think it worked out. Ryan and I have our tradition of driving around the valley looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Adam. My family celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve so we went there. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed being with family that we don't normally see. Then we had Christmas as usual at our house and it went really well this year. Then Christmas afternoon we went to Ryan's parents house where we had dinner and then everyone came over. We all slept over and had Christmas morning all over again with the presents that his parents bought. I really enjoyed being able to spread my favorite time of year over a four day period.
On the Twelfth of January my eldest brother Dan got married to the love of his life. It was such a beautiful ceremony. Ryan and I were asked to make the cake. I was a little nervous and Ryan was just ecstatic! I kept saying, "this isn't like a birthday where we always have next year!". So we spent a week making the roses for the cake. We had a lot of late nights together and absolutely loved learning a new technique. We never fully put the cake together until we got to the reception center. We think it turned out really good and we are very pleased with the results.
I also got to know B (the bride) better. I absolutely love her. She is so much fun to be around and so funny. I loved being able to help her as she got ready for the wedding.
