Peyton's first birthday

Today is Peyton's first birthday. We love her so much. She was a determined little soul to get here. She love's company and if she finds herself alone that is the only time she cries unless the usual- tired, hurt or hungry. She loves Braxton and her mom. But overall she just loves a familiar face. Yesterday we had her birthday party. She was so funny. She wanted nothing to do with presents. We only wanted clothes since that is what she is lacking and we have so many 1 yr. old toys from the other 2 kids. She is so much bigger than Chloe was. I find that the clothes Chloe is growing out of, Pey fits into. It's been really hard on me to think that I no longer have a baby. Every time we've had a child turn one, I've already been pregnant with the next. Except this time, hence the sadness. She is the only baby on both sides of my family. This cake was one of the easiest cakes we have made. I absolutely loved it. The idea is that you make the birthday girl her own cake to make a mess with and everyone else gets their own cake-cupcakes.

Tubing In LAVA

We had our Annual Lava-Hot-Springs-Family-Tubing-Outing on Monday. It was such a blast and the weather was quite nice. It sure beat the 50 degree weather that we had last year. This may be the last year that we take all of our kids. Don't get me wrong, we loved having them and I want them to experience so many things, but each year we always have a few kids crying and not going down more then once. This year on our first run I had Braxton on my lap as we went over the 10ft drop or waterfall. I forgot to mention that the tube that 4 adults and 2 kids where riding on did not have quite enough air. Brax and I were in the front as we plummeted down the falls. No sooner did we hit the bottom that our raft decided to buckle over on us. It sent some of us flying through the air while Brax and I got buried under the water while everyone and the tube came crashing down upon us. I came out of the water, holding Brax up out of the water with the back of his life-vest, laughing. Braxton on the other hand was screaming like a girl. You had thought that something had happened more than going under the water. It took me about 10 minutes to help him realize that he was fine. Later in the day he told me that he was screaming at me to let him go so he could swim on his own. Apparently hysterical screams of a girl from a boy means, "let me go." that is good to know for future trips. The rest of the day was fun and only my sister might have lost a tooth from the same falls. All and all a great trip.
Peyton's first trip down the river. Last year she was in Jaclyn's belly.
Chloe not remembering how it is.
Braxton thinking his is brave and has no anxiety.

Brax and I are sporting our annual Faux Hawks!I think Chloe finally remembers how much she doesn't like it. Her face says it all.
Peyton did this the entire way down the river. She didn't like how cold the water was.
Braxton is excited that his day is over and happy that we are not forcing him to go again.Jaclyn hanging out in one of the hot springs that are along the river. What Jaclyn hopes to get for Christmas!! She has always dreamed of owning a truck so being able to drive it up and down the river was probably the best part for her. This is my favorite picture. It is of Braxton and his favorite cousin Oaklee. He is just doing what he does best, making sure she didn't have to much of an emotional day. Maybe he will be a therapist????
