A little over a week ago, (I know, I'm a slacker blogger) Oaklee had her 4th birthday party. Ryan and I, (well, mostly Ryan) made her birthday cake. We have found that we love decorating cakes. It's just another project that we like to take on. We enjoy watching it go from just a normal cake to a masterpiece. Oaklee wanted a Tinkerbell cake, which proved to be more difficult than expected. We tried using gum paste to make Tink and found we don't actually like gum paste. At least we know for next time. Anyways we hope you enjoy the pictures.
Just a few random picts....
Chloe and I were watching the Discovery Channel yesterday, and it's shark week so the show we were watching was about sharks. I asked her while making dinner about sharks and thought it was cute, so I decided to post it.

What an awesome cake, I am so impressed! How did the fondant work out? I think it all looks great! What didn't you like about the gumpaste? I'd be interested to know since I still haven't given it a try.
