So this last week, while I was upstairs playing with Braxton like a good Mom would, I came down to find Chloe and Peyton had colored all over the walls (Sorry, I know some of my pictures are blurry, my camera had fingerprints on the lens.)
They had colored with MARKER on 6 different walls 3 areas of carpet and on the kitchen floor. It's been extremely hard to remove from the walls and impossible to get out of the carpet. Good times.
On Tuesday night, after dinner, I had loaded the dishwasher when it decided to not work. It just kept beeping at me. We decided in the morning I would call a mechanic. He came out on Wednesday afternoon and told me he thought he could fix it for $30 bucks (of course that's on top of the fee for him to just come to my house.) After trying a couple of different things we realized the problem in this:
The locking mechanism for the soap dispenser! Yup folks, my dishwasher is totaled because of the soap dispenser. So now my home looks like this:
Thanks to Target I got a drying rack. And my hands are almost always raw. Good times, good times!

Bummer! That sucks. Our dishwasher worked perfectly for about two months after we moved in. Since then it sounds like an airplane. We have to run it at night so no one will be disturbed by the racket. We also upgraded. Dumb appliances.
NO fun at all! I really don't think the pictures do your walls justice, they drew everywhere!! You are the sweetest Mom to not totally freak out though!
Love you, invite me over for a dish washing party sometime!
Um, sounds like you need to keep all writing utensils under lock and key! Crazy! My kids have just moved on to carving their names in their closet doors and on our tabletops. So now I just buy everything used so I stop freaking out.
Oh friends, I too like to paint amazing murals on walls with my crayola markers but I usually get paid to do that! That stinks J-Pac sorry about all the house drama! Love ya
Umm, I'm not positive it will work for the marker, but the magic eraser (mr clean brand or generic) really works wonders for crayons on the walls. I'm speaking from experience. I love the irony of fingerprints on your lens when you're taking pictures of child-induced chaos. That is so my life right now. :}
Sorry about your washer, that worries me a bit because I have the same one.
