Powder Skiing - The Mayan - Ward Party - Easter

What a busy week and a half. It all started last Friday when Jaclyn and I went skiing for a few free hours up at Alta. All I can say is POWDER!!! We ended up having to push a ton, cuz there was so much beautifully fallen new snow. On what was supposed to be a groomed trail, we were shin deep. What a blast!
Here is Jaclyn attempting her first black run! She only fell once!! Way to go.

I found myself some powder that at a few spots was waist deep. Did I mention it was a beautiful day?? On the way home was a different story, as I was on the phone driving down the canyon (Probably not the best idea), you couldn't really see the road, due to all the snow. I came to a corner and realized that the car wasn't slowing or turning. I put my hands up while shrugging my shoulders while saying, "Honey, we are sliding off the road." Luckily, from plows working all day we hit all new snow and ended up just slowing to a stop. For some reason, neither of us even stressed about it. We got back on the road and had no other issues.

Later that night we went to a show with some super crappy food!!! We went to the Mayan with our great friend Jenny and her beau Craig. Nothing like watching overgrown guys in loin-cloths jump into the water below. At least the kids had a ton of fun and liked it.
We have decided to go on a tour of some of the Crappiest Food In Utah. If you have nay suggestions please let us know. Up next, Chuck-E-Cheese!

The following day was the Ward Christmas Egg Hunt. The kids loved it! Luckily the small kids got a few minutes head start so they could get a few eggs before everyone else was let loose.
Here is a few eggs they got. Chloe didn't get much, cuz she only wanted pink eggs, and she was always two steps slower than the other kids.

That night when we got home this is what we found.
As Chloe undressed, Brax found a nice soft spot 2 feet into the entrance and laid down and went to sleep. Poor kid, must have been tired, I blame his parents.

These last few days have been super fun. Jaclyn and I went to the Temple to do some sealings Friday night! They are always fun and it was a great way to celebrate Easter. On Easter morning, the kids got up extra early and could see that the Easter Bunny had come by. We spent the next hour telling the kids to go back to bed cuz we were too tired to get up. Finally we gave in and let the kids run all around the house and collect all the sugar filled eggs and baskets.
Braxton said, "Dad, when did the Easter Bunny come?"
I said, "while you were asleep."
He then said, "But Dad, I left my ears on all night?"

We spent the rest of the day at Grandparents houses where we had an indoor egg hunt for what seemed like hundreds of eggs, and lots of rest and relaxation.

At the end of the day the kids got some of their favorite drinks at Grandma's house.
Super chocolate milk, with extra chocolate.

Chloe only added 4 scoops of strawberry to the 1 cup of milk!
Can I get a straw for this???????

UMMMM... excuse me??!! The best parts of your week should totally include me... Discovery Gateway, our skiing trip, Easter with me, and Singing in the Rain! I am so offended, I am going to let you help me make 3 birthday cakes this month!

Ugh, I know what you mean. I've only been to the Mayan once a long time ago, and all I remember about it, besides the jumping off of cliffs, is how crappy the food was. Next time you guys come to visit we'll take you on a tour of crappy food near us -- this Mexican restaurant near us puts cheese food on their tacos. Glad you had a great Easter -- we miss you!
